A Sister from another Mister

Alison is a friend of ours and long distance member of Canvas.  she is doing some important work raising awareness of and liberating people from injustice in Benin.  We sent her a message to let her know we wanted to financially support and partner with her in this.  The following is her response:

I've been sitting here staring at this page trying to come up with something meaningful or in any way authentic to what i feel...but i'm not sure that there are words in our vocabulary.

God is continually providing through the brothers and sisters whom i have not even asked gifts of...it is very humbling, mind-boggling, and continually showing me the bigness of God and the smallness of me. I cannot explain to you the tingles and the emotions that went from my head to my toes as i listened to your message.

I'm thankful to our Father, and thankful to you all. It means the world, and it really does make a difference. My trip is set for June 19th - August 14th so I will be in Benin for 2 months with a team of people...not sure how many at this time. My friends Jen and Sarah are there currently doing logistical planning for our summer project. They are setting up places for us to stay, transportaion, interpretors, and the like. As well as getting an estimate of what our cost of living will be. It has been amazing to hear how God is working and opening doors to prepare for this summer while they are there. go to  www.unseenstories.com to learn more or to keep up with our progress. I have full confidence that God will provide what I need for this summer, so if you would like to donate to Unseen Stories itself instead of my trip with them, feel free to do so. (you would just need to leave out my name in the memo line)

Thank you again so much, and I will do my best to keep you posted.

Grace and peace,
