Hey Misfits,
Over the past several months we've served in the community in several different capacities. We've helped out at the neighborhood center and developed relationships that allow us to love our neighbors there. We've also broken bread and cultivated friendships with our brothers and sisters at Sunflower park. Well, as you know, this is not just so we can feel good about helping out every once in a while, but is rather to create lasting bonds and opportunities for us to love and learn to love one another- even one anothers different than us.
Point being- our neighbors need love.
These are some needs that have come up over the last few days and weeks. If you can help, our neighbors would certainly appreciate it.
- Mother and Son- evicted from fully furnished trailer. Need: Bedding, kitchen supplies, towels, etc. We've already had one bed donated.
- Some of our homless friends would like to catch their food rather than beg for it. Need: Fishing poles and tackle.
- One of our sisters is going back to school. Need: Supplies, calculator, GRE study materials, English tutor.
