So, last week we began, and for the next few weeks will continue, a series of dialogues centered around questions and ideas that inspired us a year ago to pursue this community that we'd later find out would be Canvas.
Last week we looked at the story of Jesus cleansing the temple and promising that if it were torn down (his body) he would raise it up. We used this a metaphor to examin institutional religion, and examine ourselves, and ask what needs to be torn down? And, what needs to be raised up, or resurrected, in it's place?
In other words- when it comes to faith, religion, spirituality- what can we do without, and what would we like to see more of?
