Now the disciples came to Galilee to the mountain where Jesus had instructed them (Sermon on the Mount). when they saw him they fell at his feet and some worshiped, while some doubted. To all of them, Jesus said,
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me, Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
How have we heard this passage taught before? What does it mean to be a follower of Jesus? To make followers of Jesus? What kind of authority does Jesus have that he implies has been passed on to us?
Let's reflect and respond as we prepare to engage some of these questions this Sunday.
